Extra Guidance for Athletes Who Want More Individual Support
Both remote and in-person Roadrunner athletes can apply to work with a Roadrunner Personal Coach. Personal coaching is designed for athletes who want more individualized feedback, accountability, race preparation, and help understanding how to get the most out of their training. Athletes are placed in a coaching group of up to 20 athletes. The group meets with its personal coach once each week to review training, ask questions, and prepare for upcoming workouts and races.
Your Personal Coach Can Help With:
Questions about your Roadrunner training plan
Running form analysis
Race preparation and strategy
Reviewing and analyzing GPS watch and training data
Understanding workouts, pacing, recovery, and training decisions
Reviewing race performances and identifying areas for improvement
Athletes will also receive a weekly email from their coach with guidance about their upcoming training and analysis of recent workouts or races.
Roadrunner personal coaches are USATF-certified and experienced runners who have a desire to help take running to the next level. The goal is not simply to tell athletes what workout to complete. Coaches help athletes learn why they are training, use data-driven methods, customize an athlete's training, give advice on how to race, and how to become more confident and independent runners.
Athletes can apply for the Personal Coaching Program to determine whether the program and available coaching group would be a good fit.
